DESCRIPTION

Do you like helping customers enable their end-users to get work done from anywhere and on any device? Would you like to do this using the latest cloud computing technologies? Do you have a knack for helping groups understand end user computing architecture and implementation approaches? Do you have the consultative and leadership skills to help customers succeed with their cloud efforts? Are you passionate about cloud computing with a special focus on virtualized desktops, applications, and end-user computing devices?

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Solutions Architect (SA) to help establish AWS End User Computing (EUC) as the market leader in end user computing. The AWS US EUC Specialist SA team helps commercial customers create and migrate large scale VDI workloads onto AWS to achieve their desired business outcomes. We built AWS EUC services to give customers agility to respond to the changing needs of their workforce. Customers can scale up or scale down on-demand, providing users with the resources they need, all without deploying and operating infrastructure.

This is a highly technical position for someone who can dive deep, build complex, AWS -optimized architectures, and help customers accelerate their adoption of AWS services. You will own the technical engagement and guide your customer through all phases of the adoption process. You should be as comfortable discussing complex technical details with a room full of engineers as you are briefing an executive audience. In addition, you will engage with other AWS solutions architects, partner and professional services organizations to drive large and highly complex sales opportunities to closure.

Key job responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this position include:
- Working with customers to assess, choose, optimize and deploy EUC services, including Amazon WorkSpaces Personal, Amazon WorkSpaces Pools, Amazon WorkSpaces Core, Amazon WorkSpaces Web, Amazon AppStream 2.0, and Amazon WorkSpaces Thin Client.
- Educating customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
- Conducting one-to-few and one-to-many Immersion Days and workshops to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
- Capturing and sharing best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS solutions architect community.
- Authoring or otherwise contributing to AWS customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, videos, vlogs/blogs, and technical guides.
- Building trusted relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
- Acting as a technical liaison between customers, partners, service engineering teams and support.
