The ASEAN Specialist team at AWS is hiring an Edge Specialist Solutions Architect to partner with customers across the region. You'll design edge architectures — spanning content delivery networks, web application firewalls, DDoS protection, and bot management — leveraging services such as CloudFront, AWS WAF, and AWS Shield. Key job responsibilities
As an Edge Specialist Solutions Architect in the ASEAN Specialist Team, you bring deep expertise in content delivery, application security, and edge networking that will help us address the performance, security, and scalability needs of our customers' workloads. You will be the go-to person for providing guidance on AWS edge architectures and best practices. In this role you will be:
- Designing edge architectures that improve application performance, security posture, and resilience for customers across ASEAN.
- Helping customers optimise and secure their workloads leveraging CloudFront, AWS WAF, AWS Shield, and the broader edge portfolio.
- Authoring technical content including blog posts, whitepapers, and reference architectures showcasing thought leadership in edge and application security.
- Representing AWS at industry conferences, customer events, and partner engagements.

What does a day in the life of an Edge Specialist SA look like?
You will:
- Collaborate with a team of domain specialists across security, networking, and media services.
- Solve complex performance and security challenges by designing edge architectures tailored to customer needs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to customers and ASEAN leadership on edge strategy and best practices.
- Provide technology guidance to customers and field teams on content delivery, application protection, and edge networking.
- Represent AWS at industry conferences, summits, and customer events.
- Create mechanisms - tools, enablement content, and reusable patterns - that help you scale your impact across the region.
- Coach and mentor peers & colleagues, and help Amazon Hire and Develop the Best.

The ASEAN Specialist Team is a group of domain experts who bring deep technical expertise across their respective technology areas. As a Specialist SA, you operate across the full customer engagement lifecycle, from early-stage architecture guidance to production-ready design, serving as a trusted advisor to customers and a key contributor to ASEAN's technology strategy. You'll work alongside specialists in edge networking, content delivery, application security, and DDoS protection, in a team that values builder culture, intellectual curiosity, and customer obsession.
