Shipping Supervisor

Do you love problem solving and optimization around shipping & logistics? We're looking for a Shipping Manager to formulate solutions to a variety of business issues that will ultimately improve the movement of our products across multiple carriers and elevate the customer experience. You'll place an emphasis on the continuous development of relationships with the Client, Customers, and Employees. This position requires a strong leader with a strong business acumen that encompasses culture, financial aptitude, people leadership, and operational excellence.

What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Touting a culture of logistics safety, training constantly, turning audits from confrontational to collaborative, and promoting personal accountability.
• Leading the Packing and Loading value streams.
• Tracking all performance related statistics for logistics, inventory, packing of bundles, & loading of trucks.
• Recruiting, training, developing, and managing employees to ensure flawless execution of daily tasks.
• Coordinating with operations to establish processes for delivering continuity of material flow.
• Analyzing all logistics cost including internal storage and freight cost to establish expense and performance improvement goals.
• Building strong customer relationships and understanding trends that affect our business to develop solutions creatively and strategically.
• Providing clear strategic direction by standardizing internal processes and driving improvement.

What You'll Need to Have:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

• Three years of logistics experience in a manufacturing environment preferred with exposure to Lean Six Sigma.

• Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others and effective coaching.

• Use of MS Excel, Word and Outlook to competent level
• Strong planning skills & the ability to respond quickly to changes in priorities, demands and requirements
• Ability to make effective decisions under pressure and work co-operatively within and across teams
• A strong customer-focus with the ability to support operations and gain their cooperation and respect.
