Manager of Training and Development
About the Role:
The Manager of Training and Development is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating employee training programs that align with organizational goals. This role ensures continuous employee growth, skill enhancement, and performance improvement across departments, with a strong focus on leveraging Learning Management Systems (LMS) for scalable and effective training delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance employee skills and productivity.
- Identify organizational training needs through collaboration with department heads.
- Design customized training modules and materials (online, in-person, hybrid).
- Administer and manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver and track training programs.
- Evaluate training effectiveness and adjust programs based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Monitor training budgets and ensure cost-effective delivery of programs.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities and employee progress.
- Stay current with industry trends and integrate innovative training methods.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with HR and external vendors to deliver high-quality training solutions.
- Develop vendor selection requirements for external training, including leadership development and coaching vendors.
- Partners with HRIS for continued enhancements to Bonnell University, the HCM learning platform.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in employee training, coaching, and/or talent development.
- Proven leadership and project management skills.
- Proven budget and costing skills on learning and development projects.
- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
- Experience with instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS), including administration, content development, and reporting.
- Familiarity with e-learning platforms and digital training tools.
- Preferred certifications in HR or Learning Management
- Proven experience leading learning management projects for a company.
