Bonnell Aluminum is seeking motivated and curious students to join our Internship Program at the Division Office for Summer 2026. These internships provide hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where interns contribute to real business projects while gaining valuable professional skills. Interns will work alongside experienced team members, collaborate across departments, and gain exposure to how a manufacturing organization operates.

This program is designed to support career exploration, skill development, and practical application of academic coursework.

1.Sustainability Intern

The Sustainability Internship focuses on understanding and improving the environmental footprint of aluminum products and manufacturing operations. Interns will support carbon footprint analysis, emissions tracking, and sustainability data management related to material sourcing, production processes, and operational efficiency. This unique position will assess and improve the company’s corporate environmental and sustainability reporting efforts through capturing current practices, as well as improving the methods of data collection and streamlining the reporting process to improve responsiveness to customers regarding environmental product declaration requests.

Learning Objectives

  • Understand how manufacturing processes impact product environmental footprint
  • Gain experience with carbon emissions tracking and sustainability data analysis
  • Learn fundamentals of environmental performance reporting and continuous improvement
  • Develop collaboration, analytical, and professional communication skills

Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • Junior or Senior standing preferred
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
  • Strong interest in sustainability and manufacturing environments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis tools

2. Engineering Intern

The Engineering Internship provides hands-on exposure to manufacturing operations and product performance within an industrial setting. Interns assist with process data collection, engineering analysis, and production-related improvement projects tied to aluminum products and operational efficiency.

  • Apply engineering principles in a real-world manufacturing environment
  • Develop skills in process improvement and operational efficiency analysis
  • Gain experience working with production and performance data
  • Learn how engineering teams collaborate across manufacturing and quality functions

Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Materials, or related field)
  • Junior, or Senior standing
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Interest in manufacturing, operations, and continuous improvement

3. Information Technology Intern

The Information Technology Internship offers hands-on experience supporting IT systems and technology operations within a manufacturing environment. Interns assist with system support, data management, troubleshooting, and technology initiatives while working alongside IT professionals.

Learning Objectives

  • Gain exposure to enterprise IT systems used in manufacturing
  • Build foundational skills in technical support and troubleshooting
  • Learn IT best practices, including security awareness and system documentation
  • Develop professional communication and customer-support skills

Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field
  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 preferred
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, networks, or databases
  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn

Internship Duration:
