Bonnell Aluminum is seeking motivated and curious students to join our Internship Program at the Newnan Plant for Summer 2026. These internships provide hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where interns contribute to real business projects while gaining valuable professional skills. Interns will work alongside experienced team members, collaborate across departments, and gain exposure to how a manufacturing organization operates.
This program is designed to support career exploration, skill development, and practical application of academic coursework.
Quality Intern
The Quality Internship provides hands-on experience supporting quality assurance activities within a manufacturing environment. Interns will work with the Quality team to maintain accurate gage records by entering and updating items in the GAGEpack system, assisting with documentation, and supporting day-to-day administrative tasks that help ensure product and process compliance. This role is ideal for a student who is detail oriented, comfortable working on a computer for extended periods, and committed to accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Enter, update, and maintain gage records in the GAGEpack system with a high level of accuracy
Verify required fields, file attachments, and item details; resolve data discrepancies with the Quality team
Support documentation organization and basic reporting using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Follow standard work instructions and maintain confidentiality of quality records
Learning Objectives
Learn how a manufacturing Quality Department supports product conformance and continuous improvement
Develop proficiency entering, validating, and maintaining gage and calibration-related records in the GAGEpack system
Strengthen attention to detail by verifying data accuracy, resolving discrepancies, and following standard procedures
Build practical skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to organize data, prepare summaries, and support reporting
Improve professional communication by working with quality technicians/engineers to prioritize tasks and document updates
Eligibility Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Quality, Industrial Technology, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent demonstrated interest)
Strong computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Comfortable learning new systems and performing data entry tasks with high accuracy
Detail oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow standardized work instructions
