Fabrication- Operator Level 1 (3rd Shift)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SHIFT DAYS /NIGHTS: 3rd shifts are (Sun night to Thurs night) 9:00 pm- 5:00 am. Must be willing and able to work Mandatory OT on off days as necessary.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
The Fabrication Operator Level 1 assist in overseeing machinery from calibrating equipment, monitoring gauges and machines for proper operation. Document/record information while conducting quality control testing. This must all be completed while maintaining a safe work environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow all Safety procedures during all operations performed.
Operate designated machines within Fabrication Department (Cut Saws, Punch Press, etc.).
Complete and understand required quality checks.
Perform shift start and end equipment checks and 5s.
Report problems with parts or equipment
Properly follow all department/equipment SOP's
Record daily production numbers.
Complete any/all required paperwork.
Perform job duties paying special attention to details.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Demonstrate basic mechanical ability.
Possess basic computer skills capable of pulling Prints and using JDE.
Capable of using Digital Calipers.
Able to read and understand tape measure.
Must pass a skills assessment.
Must have a satisfactory employment history.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- HS Diploma/GED
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently and effectively, self-motivated, self-starter with a minimum of three (3) months related experience and/ or will train hands on, and equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must pass company background check and drug screen.
