City of Hope is seeking a dynamic DEI Communications & Engagement Senior Manager to spearhead transformative initiatives promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) across our renowned organization. Reporting directly to the SVP and Chief Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Officer (CDO), you will lead the charge in shaping our DEI narrative and fostering a culture where every voice is heard and valued across our national system.

As a successful candidate, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Strategic Vision: Partner closely with the CDO to innovate and execute impactful DEI programs and campaigns aligned with our organizational mission.
  • Creative Content: Craft compelling DEI narratives and content across different platforms, driving engagement and awareness through storytelling.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate across departments and with key stakeholders to share and implement DEI strategies and programs seamlessly.
  • Project Leadership: Manage and oversee the execution of DEI communications initiatives, ensuring efficiency and excellence.
  • Innovative Direction: Lead creative efforts and maintain the DEI online presence to showcase our commitment to inclusivity.
  • Integrity & Compliance: Uphold organizational standards and confidentiality in all communications and initiatives.


Your qualifications should include:

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • Experience: Eight years in progressive DEI-focused communications and engagement roles, preferably within healthcare or related sectors.
  • Leadership: Proven track record in leading DEI initiatives, including managing complex projects and fostering collaboration.
  • Passion: A deep commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within organizational settings.
  • Project Management: Keen focus on timelines, deadlines, and deliverables. Excellent time and project management skills
