The successful candidate:

***Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00AM-4:30PM***

Involve with patients when assistance is requested by a fellow stakeholder, or when patients or their families ask for assistance. WRMC Security Officers are charged with protecting patients, care givers, visitors, Stakeholder, vendors, property and etc. Preventive patrol and inspectional service is the method employed by COH Security Officers to determine that conditions are normal in a given area and to provide a visible deterrent factor including night patrolling to provide a feeling of safety for staff, patients and visitors. Whether by foot or by vehicle, Security Officers routinely patrol the hospital grounds and parking lot to maintain high visibility and take notice of potential threats, suspicious activities and safety concerns. Be part of the rapid response team and response to security emergencies within the hospital. Whether for psychiatric or medical reasons, patients can become violent or threaten fellow stakeholders and/or other patients and hospital guests. It is the officer’s responsibility to maintain control of the situation and, if necessary, contact local authorities. The Security Officer may also be called upon for external emergencies, such as assisting in providing aid for disaster victims following the guidelines set forth in WRMC’s Emergency Management Plan. COH Security Officers are responsible for various duties and roles throughout the hospital at any given time. They may give directions and assistance to hospital patients and visitors. They may escort patients, stakeholders and hospital guests to their vehicle upon request. Security Officers may also assist with jump starting a vehicle with a dead car battery. A COH Security Officer will maintain an attitude of safety, security and positive customer service. Security Officers spend a majority of their time enforcing the rules and regulations of COH, which is one of their primary responsibilities.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Experience: 1-3 Years of Security Related Experience

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Certification: Basic Life Support (within 1 month of hire)

Valid Arizona State Driver’s License
