Position Summary
City of Hope is seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Infusion Clinic in Glendale. In this vital role, you will focus on the delivery of chemotherapy and comprehensive care to cancer patients, providing support, education, and a compassionate touch throughout their treatment journey. This opportunity is for full-time, 8-hour shifts, and 40 hours per week. This clinic is open Monday - Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus available!
As a successful candidate, you will:
- Patient Assessment and Care Planning: Assess patients' health status, develop individualized care plans, and implement evidence-based care protocols to ensure the best outcomes.
- Chemotherapy Administration: Administer chemotherapy and other medications to patients according to prescribed treatment regimens, ensuring safe and effective delivery.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients' vital signs and symptoms during infusion treatments, promptly recognizing and responding to any changes or adverse reactions.
- Patient Education and Support: Provide comprehensive education to patients and their families, empowering them to understand their treatment options, side effects, and self-care measures.
- Coordination of Care: Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate care, follow-up appointments, and supportive services, ensuring a seamless and holistic patient experience.
- Management of Side Effects: Assist patients in managing side effects and complications arising from cancer treatment, offering proactive support and interventions.
Qualifications
Your qualifications should include:
- Associate degree in nursing
- To be considered for RN III - 3+ years of experience as a RN
- To be considered for RN I - 0-3 years of experience as a RN
- Current California Registered Nurse license
- Current BLS through American Heart Association
- A valid ONS Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Provider Card
