Job Title: Internal Communications Manager – CEO Office

Job Location: Atlanta, GA

As the Internal Communications Manager you will lead the DHL Global Forwarding regional internal communications function. Translate Divisional Communications & Engagement Lead internal communications across US and Canada, translating the DGFF global strategy into regional activation in line with local strategic priorities.

Own the region’s digital communication platforms, editorial planning, frontline communication routines and content quality. Coordinate and enable a regional network of Smart Connect editors, ensuring consistent standards, measurable performance and alignment with the divisional narrative.

Scope:

  • Region: NORAM North America (US + Canada)
  • Structure: Individual contributor, reporting into CEO Program Office
  • Network responsibilities: Smart Connect editors and station-level communication champions
  • Interfaces: Regional CEO, Regional Functions Product/Sector leads, Country Heads, Global Comms & Engagement, Corporate Communications

Key Tasks:

Regional Communications Strategy + Planning

  • Build the annual communications plan aligned with Simplify 2030 and global priorities.
  • Translate global campaigns into regional versions tailored for NORAM.
  • Shape the regional narrative across productivity, customer focus, digitalization, sector priorities and culture.
  • Act as primary regional liaison into the Divisional Communications team and Corporate Communications team.

Digital Platform Ownership (Smart Connect + Smart Workspace)

  • Own and manage Smart Connect performance across NORAM: activation, engagement, content quality and analytics.
  • Run regular KPI reviews and drive targeted improvement plans with countries/stations.
  • Lead the local network of Smart Connect editors: training, quality checks, troubleshooting and best-practice sharing.
  • Maintain regional Smart Workspace environments (SharePoint), ensuring structure, usability and governance standards.

Editorial Planning & Content Production

  • Own and run the region’s integrated editorial calendar for all channels.
  • Produce content in multiple formats: short-form posts, briefings, video scripts, toolkits, presentations and frontline-ready materials.
  • Convert complex business topics into simple, practical, actionable content.
  • Quality-gate all regional communications before publication.

Leadership Communications

  • Support the Regional CEO and leadership team: message development, town halls, presentations and key announcements.
  • Provide counsel on tone, clarity, sequencing and narrative consistency.
  • Ensure leadership communication routines are predictable and aligned with the global leadership rhythm.

Station-Level Communication Routines

  • Strengthen frontline communication through simple routines and templates (daily/weekly cascades, noticeboards, briefings).
  • Provide easy-to-use materials for site managers and supervisors.
  • Drive consistent adoption across a fragmented operating environment.
  • Collaborate on internal branding topics (e.g., station branding) to ensure consistency region-wide

Data, Analytics & Reporting

  • Maintain monthly dashboards tracking channel performance, campaign outcomes and Smart Connect adoption.
  • Regularly assess what’s landing, what’s not, and why.
  • Use insights to improve formats, channels and storytelling.
  • Provide quarterly regional insights back to the global team.

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Act as the bridge across Functions and Product/Sector teams.
  • Ensure messages are sequenced, consistent and relevant for NORAM audiences.
  • Avoid duplication and reduce communication noise across the region.

Issues/Crisis Communication

  • Support regional response and communication for incidents, service disruptions or sensitive topics.
  • Ensure clarity, speed and accuracy in messages to leaders and frontline teams.

Key Requirements and Skills:

  • 7 + years in internal communications, strategic corporate communications or related field.
  • Prior experience in a global or large-scale organization, preferably logistics, supply chain, or transportation
  • Proven track record of managing executive-level communications
  • Solid experience creating publications, newsletters, press releases, campaigns and other visual communications
  • Knowledge of communication mediums
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or Business
  • Master’s degree or professional certifications is a plus
  • Ability to develop and execute internal communication strategies aligned with CEO and corporate vision
  • Outgoing, driven, upbeat, and resourceful personality!

Pay Range: $79,777.50 - $106,370.00+ (Based on Experience)
