Job Summary:

The Testing Specialist is responsible for providing GED/HiSET testing and testing services to customers. Testing Specialist is responsible for providing testing and testing services to customers after successfully completing new test administrator training and certification. Test Administrator strictly adheres to company policies and maintains a secure testing environment.

Essential Functions:

· Ensure daily delivery of testing exam. Demonstrate good customer service and ensure testing environment is comfortable and testing equipment (computers, calculators) if authorized, is user-friendly at all times.

· Admit examinees, verify identification, and explain exam procedures.

(10%)

· Monitor examinees while testing for possible cheating and disruptive behavior

(25%)

· Communicate with internal departments to investigate, identify and repair technical issues as needed

(10%)

· Prepare all appropriate exam materials for use during testing

(10%)

· Maintain testing files

(10%)

· Conduct testing under standard conditions or with special accommodations for candidates with documented disabilities.

Competencies:

• Knowledge of various Assessments and allowable materials

• Knowledge of Pearson Vue Administrator station and testing workstations

• Oral and written communication skills

• Organizational skills

• Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs

• Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public

• Ability to provide instruction to others on use of equipment or processes

Work Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and technologies.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move office products and supplies, up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a part-time administrative position. Work load is Monday-Friday day/evening hours.

Travel:

Travel to other campuses is a possibility for meetings, trainings, professional development, etc.…

Required Education and Experience:

· Associate’s degree *and* Three (3) years of work-related experience

· Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis

Preferred Education and Experience:

· Experience administering standardized tests.

· Strong communication, organizational and computer skills are a must.

· Must be comfortable in a quiet testing environment.

· Must be flexible in work hours and days.

Rate of Pay:

· $14 an hour, no benefits
