Develops curriculum, and presents lessons in subject areas to children or adult clients of a state educational, rehabilitation, health care or correctional facility. Adapts teaching and instructional methods or uses specialized techniques to individualize instruction. Develops individual instruction plans, provides instruction, completes reports and tutors students.

NOTES:

1. Salary is based on certification and years of experience.

2. If applicable, please include a copy of your Teacher Certification with your application.

3. Special Education Teacher - ELA, MATH, SS OR SCIENCE.

Minimum Qualifications :

Completion of an Undergraduate Degree from an accredited college or university and be eligible to obtain a Georgia Clear and Renewable Teacher Certificate as required by statute.
OR
Hold a Provisional Georgia Educator`s Certificate in Special Education AND be eligible to obtain a Georgia Clear and Renewable Teacher Certificate as required by statute.

Preferred Qualifications :


Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess one or more of the following:

1. T-4 or higher in Special Education Certificate.

2. Knowledge of developing IEPs for students with disabilities.

3. Experience utilizing instructional technology.

4. English Language Arts preferred.
