This job is a 29 hour part time, non-benefited, FLSA non-exempt position in the Technology & Operations that reports to the Supervisor of Operations.

Salary: Targeted salary is commensurate with education and experience not to exceed the budgeted amount of $15.60 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications (Job Code H3002)
Any combination of training and experience which would have enabled the applicant to acquire the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the minimum qualifications, minimum of six months experience performing custodial duties.

Job Description Summary:

Under general supervision, maintains proper care of Gwinnett Technical College facilities by maintaining a clean and sanitized environment. Cleans and maintain floors, surfaces, restrooms, and other spaces as assigned. Ensure restrooms and other facilities are properly stocked with appropriate products. If offered a position, employees in this department must complete the Hazardous Materials Training as well as the Bloodborne & Airborne Pathogen training annually.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Percentage of Time:

Maintains proper care of technical college facilities.

· Cleans and sanitizes facilities, including blinds, windows, light fixtures, drinking fountains and walls, following established procedures.

· Thoroughly vacuums, sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, waxes, and cleans building floors and carpets as needed.

· Collects and disposes of trash

· Thoroughly cleans trash receptacles.

· Thoroughly cleans restrooms and fixtures. Ensures all toiletries and paper products are available for use.

· Deep cleaning of Restrooms/classrooms/labs.

· Floor maintenance.

· Request proper supplies needed for each task and promptly returns unused supplies to appropriate storage areas.

· Performs deep, high level cleaning and sanitization at the direction of the supervisor
