The instructor will instruct students in skilled and technical programs to a diverse population in business, industry and manufacturing. Develops program and course outlines, goals and objectives. Ability to administer tests and evaluate students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. Requests and maintains supplies and equipment and prepares required budget requests. Develops teaching methods and maintains management procedures and documentation. Maintains program certification requirements in the field of instruction. Meets with students, staff members and other educators to discuss students’ instructional programs and other issues impacting the progress of the students. Ensures safety and security requirements are met in the training areas.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires two years teaching experience with large combination vehicles. Applicants must hold a high school diploma or GED. Two years formal training, a Class A with a Passenger Endorsement Commercial Driving License (CDL), complete a 7-year Motor Vehicle Reports (MVR)-no moving violations in the past 3 years, able to pass DOT physical, able to pass drug screen, and have strong computer, communication and interpersonal skills.

Applicant must be willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and occasional weekends.
