Mountain Judicial Circuit- Administrative Assistant II


The Mountain Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office is seeking to hire an Administrative Assistant II. This circuit serves Habersham, Rabun, and Stephens Counties. The Administrative Assistant II will perform a wide range of office administrative duties and tasks, such as, communicate with clients, prepare and file legal documents, manage cases, attend court and meetings. Skills needed for this position include administrative, technological, interpersonal, organizational, and itinerary management. In addition to performing a wide range of office duties, the candidate will also support attorneys. The candidate must also be detail oriented and analytical. Enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills are a must.

Description of Duties: The Administrative Assistant II will assist in overseeing day to day operations, delivering legal pleadings to Circuit Courts, coordinating court calendars, research and advise on decision making, planning meetings/activities, interactions with staff, monitor/maintain equipment and supplies, as well as provide IT and HR support. Performs other related duties as required.

High school diploma/GED and three (3) years of job-related experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Admin Assistant 1 (GST050) or position equivalent. .
