Georgia Public Broadcasting (GPB) is hiring a Human Resources Assistant. GPB is seeking a well-rounded administrative professional to join our Human Resources team. This ideal candidate must have excellent interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task, and work under pressure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative and customer service support for a variety of human resources functions to include file management and reporting, assisting and processing new hires, current employee relations, forms completion, recruiting, training coordination, staff events, and some general human resources transactions. The HR Assistant at the direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer will interact and assist leadership, staff, external clients, and guests as needed to answer inquiries and provide information. We are looking for a dynamic candidate who understands flexibility and works with sensitive information with discretion to maintain confidentiality. The HR Assistant may also represent GPB at a variety of events such as job fairs, career day, and conferences as needed. The HR Assistant reports to the CHRO. GPB is a statewide dual licensee comprised of 9 PBS television stations and 20 NPR radio stations that broadcast across the state of Georgia.

Assists in the day-to-day operations of Human Resources functions to include providing administrative support, answering calls and inquiries, ordering supplies, making copies, and assisting with a variety of personnel actions, activities, and basic requests.
•Create, prepare, and keep up to date employee personnel, medical, attendance, recruitment, training, internship, policy and other files. Ensures all documents for files are filed correctly and timely.
•Performs record management to examine files to ensure accuracy and to answer inquiries and provide information for research, analysis or reports when needed.
•Assist the HR Team in planning events related to benefits, employee appreciation, holiday and charitable contribution, and other staff efforts as required.

Completion of a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent and four (4) years of experience in performing clerical tasks in a confidential environment.
