Employment Terms: This job is a part-time, non-benefited, FLSA Exempt/Professional position in the Computer Science Division that reports to the Program Director – Networking Specialist.

Salary – Targeted salary is paid in a lump sum bases on contact hours taught.

Minimum Requirements (Job Code 10317) – Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in field AND at least 18 semester hours in field; OR Master’s degree in related field. Two years of relevant work experience. Amazon Web Services (AWS) (Solutions Architect, SysOps Administrator, and Developer) Certification(s) is a minimum.

Preferred Qualifications - CCNA, VMware, MCSE or MCSA, MCTS or MCITP, A+, Network+, Linux+ and/or Security+ certifications are preferred.

Certain positions are subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Refusal to take the test or a positive result will lead to separation and a 2-year ineligibility period for state employment. Job Description - The instructor must be familiar with a wide range of AWS services to include computing, storage, networking, database, analytics, application services, deployment, management, mobile, developer tools, and tools for the Internet of Things. The most popular include Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3). The instructor must be able to prepare and deliver lecture and/or lab course material. Prepares lesson plans for classroom instruction for general core courses. Evaluates students’ progress in attaining goals and objectives. Prepares and maintains all required documentation and administrative reports. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior. Accepts direction and feedback from supervisor and follows through appropriately. Assists with recruitment retention and job placement efforts.
