The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Director, Food & Nutrition Services at Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta, located in Decatur, GA. Salary: $76,160.00 Job Grade K Job Responsibilities: |
- Advises clients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans and diet modifications, and food selection and preparation
- Assesses nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling
Consults with physicians and health care personnel to determine nutritional needs and diet restrictions of client
Coordinates recipe development and standardization and develops new menus for independent food service operations - Counsels individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition, healthy eating habits, and nutrition monitoring to improve their quality of life
Develops curriculum and prepares manuals, visual aids, course outlines, and other materials used in teaching
Develops policies for food service or nutritional programs to assist in health promotion and disease control - Inspects meals served for conformance to prescribed diets and standards of palatability and appearance
Monitors food service operations to ensure conformance to nutritional, safety, sanitation and quality standards
Prepares and administers budgets for food, equipment and - Works with external stakeholders such as the DOH, DPH, The Joint Commission and CMS to remain in compliance with standards and regulations.
