Central State Hospital (CSH) is in Milledgeville, the lake country of central Georgia and is Georgia’s antebellum capital. CSH is approximately 2 hours from Atlanta, 2 hours and 30 minutes from Savannah and 1 hour and 45 minutes from Augusta.
Job Description / Responsibilities
Under general supervision, assists and plans, implements and monitors facility maintenance programs to include construction and repair. Compiles and maintains cost estimates records and bid tabulation files.
Conducts field and safety reviews to inspect and assure compliance to maintenance and construction policies, procedures and standards.
Conducts technical analyses and studies to determine infrastructures, facility and physical plant needs.
Confirms that work is performed in accordance with all applicable guidelines and established practices. Coordinates, plans, and directs maintenance and concrete projects. Interprets blueprints and drawings review plans and renovations and repair activities, prepares specifications for new or renovated structure and resolves problems.
Monitors work of vendors/contractors and ensures that construction projects are completed within established guidelines.. Interprets blueprints and drawings.

Coordinates fleet operations and scheduling to ensure availability of vehicles and equipment; develops and implements safety programs and formulas.
Manages operations of motor vehicle repairs, service, and storage. Monitors contracts for compliance and control costs.
Performs inspections. Obtains, quantifies, and reports conditions of fleet usage and needs according to standards.
Provides technical assistance, support, and training.
