Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Assistant Registrar for Secondary Initiatives position in the Enrollment Services division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s Main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.

Reporting to the Registrar, the full-time Assistant Registrar is responsible for handling registration and students records and maintaining the integrity of students’ personal information and academic records. The Assistant Registrar works in conjunction with the team to serve the Atlanta Technical College community with excellence, integrity, accuracy and efficiency

Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:

· Represent the office of the Registrar in its fullest capacity in relation to HOPE calculations, ensuring that students' eligibility and academic performance are accurately reflected.

· Conduct CHECS Historical Snapshot reviews, ensuring that data is correct and up to date.

· Perform rigorous error checking on enrollment, graduation data, and other institutional records to ensure accuracy and compliance with state and federal regulations.

· Work closely with the Admissions Manager to identify and rectify NSCH (National Student Clearinghouse) discrepancies and errors.

· Address state enrollment and graduation errors, collaborating with various departments to resolve issues and prevent further discrepancies.

· Manage student requests for grade changes, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to institutional policies.

· Handle and processNO SHOW’ reports, withdrawals, registration/enrollment changes, and other student record updates as needed.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for all e-campus related inquiries, assisting students, faculty, and staff with issues related to requesting e-campus courses, BANNER setup and final e-campus grade submissions.

· Ensure all student records are processed in compliance with FERPA regulations and institutional policies.

· Address inquiries from students, faculty, and staff regarding academic records, registration, and enrollment/graduation; and

· Perform other duties as assigned by the Registrar.

· Knowledge of state residency policies for students entering educational establishments.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must possess and demonstrate an Associate degree AND one (1) year of related work experience in the Registrar or Financial Aid office; OR High School Diploma or equivalent AND three (3) years of related work experience. Knowledge of FERPA with the ability to explain them to the others.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference may be considered for candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum qualifications, possess and demonstrate the following:

· Bachelor’s degree or higher AND four (4) or more years of work experience in a secondary or post-secondary education environment.

· Experience in the use of a Student Information System (preferably BANNER) to successfully deliver registration services and maintain student records.

· Proficient with Microsoft Office (most importantly, Excel) and other computer software/databases.

· Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail and accuracy is a must.

· Excellent interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for working with a diverse population of students, faculty, and staff, and contributing to a culture of inclusion, mutual understanding, and respect.
