This job is a Part-time, non- benefited, FLSA Non-exempt position in the Human Resources Division that reports to the Manager of Human Resources.

Salary: $20.80/hr

Schedule: May work up to 19hrs per week, Monday – Friday. This position will report to the Lawrenceville campus

Minimum Qualifications (Job Code 16137)
High School diploma or equivalent *and* one (1) year of work-related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

In addition to the minimum qualifications,

· Associate’s degree in Human Resources or a closely related field

· Documented Technical College recruiting experience

· 3- 4 years of full cycle recruiting experience

· Documented experience maintaining applicant tracking system TALEO

· Experience in candidate sourcing solutions

Competencies:

· Knowledge of state and federal employment laws

Job Description Summary: Under general supervision of the Human Resources Manager, the HR Technician is responsible for supporting the recruiting team throughout the entire recruiting cycle, including sourcing, vetting, and presenting the best candidates to hiring managers, as well as assisting with offers. This person will also be responsible for assisting in the development of recruiting strategies and advising hiring managers on practices that support the goals and direction of the institution. Performs other duties as assigned in the fulfillment of the needs, philosophy, and purpose of Gwinnett Technical College.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Percentage of Time:

Source, attract, screen and qualify candidates to present to hiring managers for potential employment. Follow up with candidates as necessary as they move through each phase of our selection process.

Attend career fairs and college recruiting events for recruiting and company recognition. Network through industry contacts, association memberships and trade groups to identify potential candidates. Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting

Maintain regular follow-up with managers to get updates on their staffing needs, feedback on candidate interviews as well as the quality of candidate referrals; make the appropriate adjustments

Schedules all interviews and prepares job offer letters as requested by hiring managers

Facilitate the post-job offer, pre-employment process

Prepare and send the Personnel Action Request forms to hiring managers

Attends seminars, conferences, job-related training, and/or other staff development training programs. Participate on college committees when necessary

Maintain recruiting reports weekly, monthly and annual. Including the affirmative action plan and managing organizational chart
