Under limited supervision, the Communications and Partnership Specialist develops and implements campaigns and communication programs for social or community outreach. Leads and develops strategic planning efforts, and creates/develops communication materials, techniques and/or tools.

May also serve in a lead role. Supervises and plans work of assigned staff. Coordinates with publications and printing/graphics staff to implement the concepts, designs, and specifications for publications, according to established policy, regulations and budgetary guidelines.

Directs the taking and selection of appropriate photographs for publications. Establishes and maintains a positive working relationship with area business community, internal and external agency customers, and other related contacts.

Outlines advertising strategies. Oversees related communications, acts as program expert, and facilitates implementation of plans with management and/or staff.

Plans and integrates the approach of the programs, activities, and initiatives through media relations, community relations, and publications. Produces and distributes informational material in a variety of media. Promotes goals and objectives of the program in all forms of media.

High school diploma/GED and six (6) years of experience communications or job-related experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower level Communications Spec 3 (GSP042).
