Registrar Office Assistant

JOB SUMMARY

The Registrar Office Assistant provides administrative support to the registration, reporting and student records functions of the Registrar’s Office.

MAJOR DUTIES

  • Enters data from forms, records, reports and/or other sources into the computerized student information system;
  • Assists in documentation production and transcript evaluation;
  • Assists in maintaining student records, including imaging;
  • Assists co-workers with basic questions and problems relating to the computerized student information system; and communicates deadlines to faculty and staff;
  • Participates in assessment, planning, budgeting, and staff development; and
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

COMPETENCIES

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as business correspondence, operating, policy and procedures manuals
  • Ability to perform basic mathematic functions
  • Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Organization and time management skills
  • Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent *and* One (1) year of work-related experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to the minimum qualifications:

  • Associate degree in related field “and” One (1) year experience in student affairs, interactive marketing, experience with coordinating and managing College events, and possess a positive and energetic attitude
