Under general supervision, enters and processes personnel and payroll transactions. Compiles and files employment reports. Searches files and furnishes information to authorized persons.
JOB SPECIFIC DUITES:
- Performs technical administrative duties in support of human resources activities and operations.
- Assisting with Juvenile Correctional Officer (JCO) application screening, compiling eligibility lists, scheduling interviews, and assisting with testing process.
- Assists with various onboarding and orientation activities for new hires; prepare new hire information packets; conduct initial new hire meetings with employees and explain employment paperwork.
- Assists with coordinating the administration, distribution, and verification of employee benefits program; and provides information to facility staff on plan coverage and procedures.
- Update and maintain documents such as organizational charts, staff roster, emergency contact information, employee demographics, and other documents.
- Reviews and processes personnel and/or position transactions.
- Collaborates with Kronos team to verifies attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments
- Complies with all facility safety rules, policies, and procedures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED AND One year of experience performing human resources related functions
- OR High school diploma or GED AND One year of post-secondary education at an accredited college or university.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preference will be given to applicants who, in addition to the minimum qualifications, possess two or more of the following:
- Two years if progressively responsible clerical experience in human resources.
- Experience with using TALEO and PeopleSoft
- Equivalent if an Associate of Arts degree with major course work in human resources management, business/public administration, or a related field

Resolves personnel transaction problems. Reviews and processes personnel and/or position transactions. Schedules and monitors the sorting and distribution of employee paychecks. Verifies attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records
