Job Title: Regional Services Administrator- Developmental Disabilities- Columbus

Pay Grade: O

Workplace: Hybrid A- 3 days required in office

Travel: 25%, throughout 31 Counties of Region 6 and outside of Region 6 occasionally for Statewide meetings

Job Summary:

Under broad supervision of the Director of Field Operations for Developmental Disabilities (DD), the DD RegionalServices Administrator (RSA) leads a team of professionals responsible for connecting individuals with developmental disabilities with individualized, community-based supports and services. The DD RSA monitors the network of service providers to maintain quality of services and ensure that providers have the resources necessary to safely support individuals. The RSA remains aware of changing needs of the communities in the region, informs Division of Developmental Disabilities leadership of emerging issues and trends, and represents DBHDD in a variety of settings across the region and the state.

DD Regional Services Administrator Job Responsibilities
 Oversees the regional system for authorizing and accessing state and Medicaid waiver funded DD services
 Leads regional office developmental disability staff in providing excellent customer service
 Monitors performance of direct reports and maintains awareness of overall team performance
 Responds promptly to customer service issues, crises, and concerns of community partners; escalates issues to the Director of Field Operations or appropriate state office staff when necessary
 Maintains strong collaborative relationships with other offices with the Division of DD
 Communicates regularly with the Regional Nurse Manager and Regional Behavior Analyst to better support individuals and providers
 Assists in the development of consistent statewide procedures and supervises regional teams to ensure consistency is maintained.
 Represents DBHDD and the Division of DD in meetings and collaboration with local and state agencies, providers, and national accrediting bodies
 Develops and maintains positive relationships with community hospitals, law enforcement, and social service agencies
 Monitors the quality and adequacy of the DD provider network in the region, identifies gaps, and works to expand choices for individuals in services
 Supports provider compliance with standards for community developmental disability providers and all requirements of the New Options and/or Comprehensive Waiver
 Addresses compliance exceptions appropriately and escalates ongoing issues to the Director of Field Operations or Statewide Admissions Manager as appropriate; prepares detailed reports for state office compliance reviews if necessary
 Monitors regional DD provider contracts
 Collaborates regularly with the Behavioral Health RSA on services for individuals and regional operational issues
 Assists the Regional Advisory Council with development of the annual regional plan

Preferred Qualifications:
 Master’s Degree in a related field
 Management, planning and design of effective community-based waiver programs for individuals with developmental disabilities
 Contract development, negotiation, monitoring and compliance
 Strong competencies in budget development and management; consultation; resource allocation and strategic/operational planning

This position is located in the DBHDD Region 6 Field Office in Columbus, Georgia. DBHDD Region 6 service individual residing in the following counties: Butts, Carroll, Chattahoochee, Clay, Coweta, Crawford, Crisp, Dooly, Fayette, Harris, Heard, Henry, Houston, Lamar, Macon, Marion, Meriwether,
Muscogee, Peach, Pike, Quitman, Randolph, Schley, Spalding, Stewart, Sumter, Talbot, Taylor, Troup, Upson, and Webster.

Bachelor's degree in health care services or related field from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of professional managerial or supervisory experience in health care services; or two (2) years of experience at the lower level Mgr 3, Hlth Care (HCM012) or position equivalent. Note: Some positions may require certification and/or licensure.
