The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time Instructional Designer position within the Office of Workforce Development. The position is open to all applicants that meet the minimum qualifications below.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Works with training, data systems, customer service, and programs teams to design, develop, and implement engaging and effective learning modules and materials. The position requires applying instructional design principles, learning theories, and multimedia technologies to create dynamic and accessible learning experiences for employees and other target audiences. Assist with integrating materials into the Learning Management System (LMS).


Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

· Design and Develop Learning Content and Attendance Tracking: Create engaging learning experiences using a variety of formats (e.g., eLearning modules, instructor-led training, blended learning, and virtual).

· Conduct Needs Analysis: Assess learning needs and performance gaps by collaborating with stakeholders, SMEs, and learners to gather requirements and objectives for training programs.

· Instructional Design: Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) to create effective curricula and instructional materials, including course outlines, learning objectives, content, assessments, and multimedia components.

· Use Learning Management Systems (LMS): Manage and upload courses, track learner progress, and monitor the effectiveness of training programs using LMS tools.

· Evaluate and Revise Programs: Work with training team to continuously assess and improve the quality of training programs by analyzing feedback, learner outcomes, and performance data.

· Collaborate with SMEs: Work closely with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and relevancy of course content and provide guidance on instructional best practices.

· Maintain Design Standards: Ensure that all training materials are consistent with branding guidelines and adhere to accessibility and inclusivity standards.

· Facilitate Instructor-Led Training (ILT): Support in-person or virtual instructor-led training sessions when necessary.

· Stay Current with Trends: Keep up to date with the latest instructional design technologies, learning trends, and industry best practices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Associate’s degree *and* Three (3) years of work-related experience. Related work experience can be a combination of training, delivery, and design. Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university AND Two years of related experience OR four years of relevant work experience.

· Knowledge of the Workforce Innovation & Opportunity Act (WIOA) and related Wagner-Peyser (WP) Act.

· Experience with delivery of Employment Services and related grant activities such as JVSG.

· Knowledge of state and federal regulations.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES

· Knowledge of Instructional Design Models: Strong understanding of design models like ADDIE, SAM, or other relevant frameworks.

· Technical Proficiency: Experience with eLearning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and LMS platforms (e.g., Moodle, Blackboard, Cornerstone).

· Strong Communication Skills: Ability to clearly convey complex information and instructions in both written and verbal formats.

· Attention to Detail: Ability to produce high-quality instructional materials that are engaging, clear, and error-free.

· Project Management: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

· Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess learning challenges and propose effective solutions.
