Job Summary
Under minimal supervision, oversees division specific program to include clinical and didactic portions, accreditation, budget and administrative needs of program and college. Provides leadership to help ensure the quality and success of the program. The program director works as a liaison with external clinical affiliates for the benefit of the program.

Required Education and Experience
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Georgia
- At least three (3) years of teaching experience in a nursing education program leading to initial registered nurse licensure or completion of a higher degree in nursing
Preferred Education and Experience
- Knowledge of current trends in education, state and local academic program curricula, and academic course standards.
- Knowledge of ACEN accreditation process, standards, site visit, etc.

Knowledge and experience in the use of the Internet, Email, Windows, Microsoft Office, KMS, Blackboard, Banner, TaskStream

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional classroom/lab/clinical environment. This role routinely uses standard office/classroom/lab equipment and technologies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift or move classroom/lab equipment and supplies, up to 25 pounds.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time administrative/instructional position. Work load is Monday-Friday with possible evenings or weekends based on needs.
Travel
Travel to other campuses and clinical affiliates is a possibility for meetings, trainings, and professional development.
