The Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG) is seeking highly qualified applicants for their full-time KMS Coordinator position in the Office of Technical Education. Under general supervision of the Director of Academic Affairs, this position is responsible for conducting various KMS tasks to support the TCSG colleges academic operations and the TCSG State Board. This position requires a valid driver's license and will include occasional travel.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Regularly review and assign new program requests (NPRs) from academic affairs staff at colleges.
· Create monthly State Board agendas and motions from KMS for the Academic Affairs and College and Career Academies committee.
· Regularly monitor and compile recommendations for program continuations/termination requests from the TCSG colleges to share with Director.
· Troubleshoot and determine appropriate corrections for KMS curriculum issues as they may arise.
· Annually review Programs in KMS for updates and needed corrections.
· Annually review Courses in KMS for updates and needed corrections.
· Regularly coordinate program revisions and course changes during the PROBEs process and launch PROBEs to colleges for voting.
· Regularly collect, review, and analyze articulations in regard to adoption and effectiveness
· Regularly maintain and update information and documentation on the TCSG intranet pages.
· Collaborate with other TCSG departments as modifications and upgrades are made to the KMS curriculum database.
· Work with assigned program faculty groups as may be needed for consortia meetings and curriculum revisions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Associates degree *and* Four (4) years relevant educational experience
· Demonstrated experience using KMS or other data bases
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, workforce education, instructional technology, or other related discipline *and* four (4) years of experience using databases and other knowledge or learning management systems.
· Curriculum development experience.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
· Knowledge of TCSG’s Occupational programs;
· Knowledge of database programming, coding, and use;
· Strong critical thinking skills demonstrated by the ability to analyze information, evaluate results, and provide recommendations;
· Knowledge of credit curriculum structure and content;
· Computer and job-related software program skills;
· Organizational and project management skills; and
· Oral and written communication skills.
