Maximo Solution Architect for SCM Applications

The Maximo Solution Architect for SCM Applications will serve as a key member of the Supply Chain Management technology team. The individual will be responsible for the design, configuration, and implementation of IBM Maximo solutions to support and enhance SCM processes. The role requires an understanding of supply chain operations and the ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for the Maximo system.

The Maximo SCM solution architect will oversee the day-to-day operations ensuring all new opportunities are captured in our release planning tools and continuing to ensure they are resolved.

Job Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Lead the design and architecture of Maximo SCM solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and SCM strategies

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes and requirements, translating them into functional designs for Maximo applications

  • Lead the testing of new functionalities, including the creation of test plans, test scripts, and coordination of user acceptance testing (UAT)

  • Coordinate with Maximo Enablement team for clear hand offs of capabilities needing to be developed

  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships within the Technology Organization, Supply Chain stakeholders (Gas, Nuclear, Generation, and Power Delivery), as well as the Enterprise Strategic Transformation Organization

  • Understand and articulate the vision, goals, strategic initiatives and priorities of the Supply Chain Maximo Technology Organization and influence positive outcomes

  • Coordinate and produce metrics for continuous improvement

  • Participate in strategic teams including the Procure to Pay Governance Team, Materials Inventory Management Governance Team, and the EzMax Mobile Governance Team

  • Mentor and develop other application analysts functional analysis skills as well as IBM Maximo knowledge

  • Develop and maintain system documentation including functional specifications, configuration guides, and architecture diagram

  • Participate in web sessions and meetings with IBM, to stay informed on the upcoming releases and capabilities

  • Stay current with the latest Maximo updates and industry trends, recommending upgrades or improvements when necessary

  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for end-users and SCM staff to ensure effective use of the Maximo system

Education:

  • BS or BA degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain Management, or related field

Job Experience :

  • 2+ years of leadership experience (Management or Project Lead)

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with IBM Maximo, with a focus on Supply Chain Management Applications

  • Proven track record of successful Maximo implementations and configurations

  • Experience in Maximo MAS is highly desirable

  • Certification in IBM Maximo Asset Management is highly desirable

  • Strong knowledge of technology tools, processes and methods

  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes and how they integrate with Maximo SCM modules
