Travel : Up to 5%

Job Description

The Project Controls Change Coordinator is responsible for managing and overseeing the change management process within project portfolios. This role works closely with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and Cost Analysts to ensure that all project changes are thoroughly documented, evaluated, prioritized, and communicated to relevant stakeholders. The Change Coordinator will present change requests and their potential impacts to the Governance Team, helping to guide decision-making on project scope, budget, and timelines. Additionally, the Change Coordinator will provide ongoing training, share best practices, and drive continuous process improvements for the change management workflow.

Job experience and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university, or relevant work experience beneficial

  • Advanced degree and/or CPA/PE/PMP certification is a plus

Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage the submission, documentation, and evaluation of change requests throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Ensure all changes are logged, categorized, and prioritized based on their potential impact and urgency.

  • Confirm necessary funding has been secured and resources for approved change requests before implementation.

  • Maintain up-to-date documentation on change requests, tracking decisions, implementation progress, and conducting post-implementation reviews.

  • Communicate change request statuses, decisions, and outcomes to project teams, stakeholders, and decision-makers.

  • Prepare for and actively participate in Governance meetings, presenting portfolio change requests and providing impact analysis for individual and overall projects.

  • Continuously enhance the change management process by soliciting feedback, analyzing performance, and integrating best practices.

  • Provide training and support to project team members on change management procedures, ensuring clarity and adherence.

  • Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure alignment with project management practices and gated process methodologies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven ability to build trust, act with integrity, and foster professional relationships in an inclusive work environment.

  • Strong documentation review skills, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.

  • Creative problem solver with attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality, accurate deliverables.

  • Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office applications; experience with data tools like Power BI or Tableau is a plus.

  • Effective communicator, skilled in presenting data and analysis to diverse audiences.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage shifting priorities and deadlines.

  • Embraces and champions change with a positive attitude.

  • Familiarity with project management practices and gated process methodologies is a plus.

  • Willingness to respond to urgent project needs, including occasional after-hours work due to customer needs, project scheduling, storm restoration activities, and other unforeseen reasons
