Human Resources Data Governance Analyst
Job Description
The Human Resources Data Governance Analyst is responsible for administering Southern Company's HR data governance processes and ensuring data quality. Collaborates with other departments to ensure consistency and quality in our business processes throughout the organization. Responsible for data oversight, data usage, and system analysis to ensure the accuracy, security, and integrity of our HR systems. Contributes to development of data governance and data standards policies.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity.
Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to establish and adhere to data standards, retention schedules, and policies.
Conduct data quality assessments and implement processes to improve the overall quality of data.
Monitor and resolve data governance related issues.
Provide training and support on data governance policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain effective working relationships with HCM support team, HR COE’s, and key stakeholders across Southern Company to better align on processes and procedures to ensure quality data.
Establish and monitor processes to administer and audit certification process for access to sensitive data across platforms.
Use effective communication and feedback mechanisms designed to engage employees and maximize information exchange.
Promote a culture of data integrity.
Qualifications:
Minimum
Bachelor’s degree required
3+ years experience with data governance, data analysis, and/or implementing and monitoring business processes to ensure data integrity.
3+ years of Human Resources experience.
Ability to effectively build relationships and influence across organizational boundaries.
Ability to develop clear, actionable steps in support of an overall business strategy.
Ability to use analytical skills to identify and recognize trends from data analysis and translate into recommendations for action.
Ability to respect and maintain confidential and sensitive information.
Understanding of workforce data and data classifications.
Preferred
Experience with Oracle Fusion HCM
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
