Maintenance Specialist- System Owner

Job Summary
This position will be accountable for strategic direction, oversight, and all maintenance activities associated with Maintenance Specialist Sr./System Owner duties. This will include technical support, outage planning/scheduling and coordination, routine maintenance planning, project coordination, and capital and O&M budget tracking.
Job Responsibilities
Continually seek to improve the availability, efficiency, and reliability of the system and associated operating equipment in an economic manner
Provide coordination and technical direction for maintenance and project related work activities of mechanical, electrical, I&C, and contract personnel
Analyze issues and provide a timely response to equipment or system problems
Development and installation of special improvement projects for the FGD system and associated equipment
Develop and maintain budgets (current, 5 year, and 10 year) for assigned system and associated equipment
Support and review Root Cause Analyses on the system
Develop and maintain a robust maintenance strategy
Routine, project, and outage planning, coordination, and procurement of labor and materials
Administration and coordination of contractors and vendors
Establish an ongoing relationship with vendors and intercompany personnel; gather and analyze acceptance data on new/rebuild equipment and stay informed of current technology
Must have a thorough understanding of Maximo and relevant computer applications to monitor work order progress, parts status, and labor utilization
Must be available for weekend, holiday, extended hours, and call-out responsibilities on a 24-hour basis
Education Requirements
- A technical degree or equivalent is desired but not required.
Experience Requirements
Minimum 3 years of experience in the operation and/or maintenance of Electric Generating Plant equipment.
Minimum of 7 years of industrial operation and maintenance in lieu of Electric Generating plant experience.
Technical background on operation and maintenance of generating plant equipment
Short and long-term strategic planning skills
Ability to analyze critical situations; determine competent solutions with implementation in a safe and effective manner.
Ability to collaborate with internal and external customers and technical support
Ability to multitask and handle a high volume of work
Proficient in relevant computer applications (Maximo, Oracle, OIS, and various Microsoft Office software programs)
Demonstrated planning and organization skills
Understanding of IBEW and local craft labor contracts
Proven leadership skills
Strong communication skills
