JOB SUMMARY
The Power Delivery Business Support Team plays a critical role in administrative, financial and technology functions of the physical construction of Georgia Power transmission and distribution assets including, but not limited to, Transmission Construction, GRID, Distribution Construction, Network Underground, Make Ready, Asset Management, and Centralized Engineering.
The Data Analytics Analyst will provide analytical support to the Power Delivery Construction leadership teams by reviewing and tracking specific project costs as well as researching spending patterns throughout the Construction organization. Field time with construction crews may be necessary to understand work practices, processes, and job requirements in order to assist with back-office operations. This role partners closely with internal technology and digital teams to leverage data, automation, and innovative solutions that enhance Power Delivery Business Support processes, improve system performance, and drive operational efficiency. The successful candidate will need to establish effective relationships and communications with field personnel, multiple levels of management, and Supply Chain.
The position will be filled at an exempt level with the actual level depending on the knowledge, skills and abilities of the successful candidate.
The work location for this position is remote but will require some travel.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Vendor escalations with issues related to CATEE/CAMP/ES Maximo
Vendor onboarding to CATEE/CAMP
CATEE troubleshooting and training
CAMP troubleshooting and training
Gather cost data and analyze capital spending
Develop metrics & management reporting to provide Power Delivery stakeholders with necessary information to make well-informed decisions
Assess and implement process improvements and best practices through automation and other technical solutions to drive efficiency
Design and deliver Power BI reporting solutions that enhance business unit decision‑making
Project management skills and an ability to achieve results through teamwork in the midst of competing priorities and potentially conflicting interests
Coordinate special projects by gathering information and providing analysis
Establish and maintain effective relationships and communications with internal and external customers
Other projects & ad hoc reporting as needed
Assist with storm restoration duties as neededJOB REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Information Technology or related field - preferredExperience:
Previous experience in data analytics and/or data management or other analytical fields – preferred
Demonstrated experience with Enterprise Solutions applications (i.e. MAXIMO, Oracle, Financials, etc.)
Proven experience in data analysis, problem solving, data visualization, and automation
Working knowledge of SQL, database concepts, and programming languages used for data wrangling, transformation, visualization, and analytical workflows
Understanding of accounting principles and management reporting preferred
Working knowledge of CAMP preferred
Experience managing and prioritizing multiple requests to ensure goals and objectives are achieved
Familiarity with Agile methodologies a plus
Web and application development experience a plus (SharePoint, Power BI, Excel, C#, JavaScript, Access)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Excel, Power BI, Word, PowerPoint
Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) tools—such as FME—is a plus
Experience with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) a plus
Strong documentation and presentation skills
