Process Technician

Responsibilities:

• Set up and start injection molding machines for bucket production, ensuring proper configuration and tool alignment for each job
• Monitor and adjust the molding process to maintain optimal conditions for quality production (temperature, pressure, cycle times, etc.)
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with molding machines, tooling, or materials to minimize downtime and prevent production delays
• Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to ensure proper functionality and identify potential issues before they lead to production disruptions
• Collaborate with maintenance and quality assurance teams to address equipment malfunctions, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure production goals are met
• Review and adjust operational schedules to ensure the production process meets quality standards while minimizing costs(e.g., SMED, ergonomics, and LDR improvements).
• Working with machine operation to ensure correct part set up, part removal, and safe machine operation
• Assist in the development and implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure product consistency
• Follow all safety protocols, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment

Requirements

• Manufacturing process and procedures
• Identifying and correcting problematic areas in the manufacturing process, including troubleshooting, and fixing of machines.
• Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
• Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, and diagram or schedule form.
• Experience and demonstrated knowledge of trouble shooting skills, preferably in injection molding processes
• Good interpersonal skills

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk. The employee is required to stand for long periods of time; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, couch or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
