The Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications will lead a team responsible for supporting a portfolio of Enterprise Applications while driving the business value alignment of that portfolio. This individual will work with business and technology leaders to ensure proper alignment of business system solutions with business goals and processes. This role will serve as a champion, advisor, and liaison between business and technical teams, as well as the primary contact for application vendors and service providers.
Business Applications may include Oracle HCM, Salesforce, O365, and other related applications.
Responsibilities:
- Lead teams that provide end-user support of Enterprise Business Applications
- Provide oversight and management to the IT Applications team to deliver business application services.
- Partner with business and technology teams on releases and projects to provide business requirements, application support, demand management, and business alignment.
- Coordination with external partners, leading projects and overseeing tactical deployments.
- Ensure projects meet business requirements and value goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues.
- Review and analyze existing business applications (application functionality, maintainability and operational effectiveness), and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems.
- Continuously evaluate industry standards, best practices, and latest product versions to support and enhance the long-term goals for all applications
- Provide functional consultation to business partners, technical resources, and external partners to ensure applications utilize best standards, procedures, and methodologies
- Help facilitate alignment of functional and non-functional requirements for Enterprise applications.
- Interface with customers, peers, and managers to evaluate and understand business needs.
- Acts as a focal point for communicating related system problems within the department and collaborates with other teams and vendors on changes, fixes, and updates
- Manages the release process for applications which includes effective department wide and end user communication.
- Sets and measures performance objectives and provides regular one-on-one feedback to all members of the team
- Hires and evaluates the performance of direct reports and provides ongoing coaching and staff development.
- Assists with the preparation of budget for IT systems and services related interfaces and applications
- Works closely with all other IT management personnel in identifying, evaluating, selecting, and implementing specific information technologies that support the business plans and IT strategies
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience supporting enterprise business applications
- 3+ years of experience in a manager-level role with at least five or more direct reports and HR management responsibilities (performance reviews, building teams)
- 5+ years’ experience managing the planning and implementation of enterprise services design, including configuration, integration and maintenance of IT application systems and other platform solutions
- Experience with managing vendors and IT services partners, to include managing SLAs and KPIs
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and work with team members from other areas to accomplish common objectives.
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
