What You’ll Get to Do
The Maintenance Helper supports the night‑shift Maintenance Technician and production teams by performing material‑handling duties and assisting with basic mechanical tasks as directed. This role is primarily focused on pulling metal, supporting maintenance activities, and ensuring smooth nightly operations across the facility.
This role is perfect for an individual who has a safety mindset, is mechanically inclined, and enjoys hands‑on work. A great opportunity for someone early in their career who wants exposure to industrial maintenance and the chance to grow within an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
Pulling metal and supporting material‑handling needs throughout the production floor
Assisting the Maintenance Technician with simple mechanical tasks such as holding parts, tools, or a flashlight
Performing basic wrench‑turning or mechanical assistance under direction
Supporting production teams to ensure timely response to equipment needs
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Following direction to assist with minor adjustments or simple tasks when the technician is unavailable
Providing flexibility to support both maintenance and production operations
Documenting and communicating any irregularities or needs to the maintenance team
Learning foundational maintenance concepts through on‑the‑job exposure
What We’re Looking For
Mechanical aptitude — enjoys tinkering, fixing things, or hands‑on work
1+ years of experience in a production or industrial environment preferred
Ability to follow direction and support a more experienced technician
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn
Basic understanding of tools and mechanical processes
Material‑handling experience is a plus
Comfortable working night shift consistently
Interest in future maintenance career growth is welcome, but not required
Ability to lift, move, and handle materials safely
Flexibility to assist across departments as needed
