Public Safety Officer
Overview:
Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services.
Responsibilities: Responsible for a variety of routine safety and emergency security activities while safeguarding students, employees, visitors, patients and property. First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility. Qualifications:MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Two years of experience in general security, military or other public safety experience preferred
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Valid Drivers license & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified Healthcare Security Officer (IAHSS) required within one year of hire.
Georgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification preferred
Carry non-lethal weapons such as a Taser CEW and/or a baton required
Must pass pre-employment psychological screening
Must pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed.
