Position Responsibilities:

Must learn color of tubes

• Must learn exact size of yarn
• Empty pin racks and boxes for doubling area
• Empty pin rack for Murata area.
• Return pin racks to Murata area.
• Empty out bobbing boxes for winding.
• Doff off doubling and winding packages.
• Fill ring spin bobbing boxes.
• Take out Murata tubes for doubling boxes.
• Provide material for winding and doubling when requested.
• Sweep floor.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Work Environment

This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses highly specialized lab equipment and standard office equipment such as computers, phones and photocopiers. The candidate is frequently exposed to noise, dust and various chemicals, and moving mechanical parts requiring the use of appropriate personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing protection and non-skid shoes.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, sit, walk, stand, and hear. This employee may be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch and occasionally lift up to 50 Ibs. The employee must have 20/20 vision or corrected 20/20 vision.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours will be determined by shift. Weekends and overtime may be required as job duties demand.

Required Education and Experience

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. Associate must be able to learn to differentiate all fiber and fiber types, understand the weight system, learn band colors for each fiber, and learn safety guidelines and procedures.
