Nature of Duties: Under direct supervision of faculty members, the lab assistant performs routine, standardized laboratory work requiring close attention to detailed procedures in the preparation and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment, inventory and requisition of supplies, assisting faculty in the supervision of students assigned to laboratories, and other related duties. Employed on an individual academic semester basis. Duties include but are not limited to assisting faculty members with classroom instruction, adherence to safety procedures, and other miscellaneous tasks related to instruction; tutoring or mentoring students; cleaning labs as needed; and obtaining materials needed for classes, including texts and other materials. Selected candidates must be able to work morning, afternoon, or evening hours, Monday through Friday. |

Special Instructions to Applicants: To be considered for the Lab Assistant Pool, applicants must upload transcripts, resumes, and certifications with their application. Lab Assistant Pool applications are for the current academic year, and a new one is required each year. Lab Assistants are paid on a per-contact-hour basis. All courses are face-to-face unless otherwise indicated. Courses are offered Monday through Thursday during both morning and evening hours. Dual enrollment courses are offered Monday through Friday. Campus locations for this pool are Carroll, Coweta-CEC, Douglas-CCI, Franklin, LaGrange, and Murphy Campuses. |
