Job Summary
The Accounts Payable Supervisor is responsible for guiding and advising accounting staff in regards to accounts payable transactions. This position will also analyze and approve accounts payable transactions. The Accounts Payable Supervisor will assist employees with the Concur travel system and be the Administrator for the college in Concur. Correctly applies accounting principles according to GAAP, Governmental Accounting Standards, applicable state and federal guidelines and TCSG fiscal policies and procedures.

· Provides technical assistance on financial matters regarding expenditures; | (10%) |
· Guides and advises accounting staff in the procedural processes of the accounts payable functions and assists in problem resolution; | (10%) |
· Analyzes, reconciles, and approves accounting data and transactions; | (15%) |
· Assists employees with travel regulations and the Concur software system; | (10%) |
· Reviews and approves travel entries; | (10%) |
· Reviews and approves EPVs; | (35%) |
· Analyze system data for accurate preparation of 1099s | (2%) |
· Sets and Ends Weekly Accounts Payable check cycles; | (3%) |
· Other duties as assigned. | (5%) |

Supervisory Responsibility
This position directly supervises the AP Accounting Technicians.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment and technologies.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are flexible. This position occasionally requires longer hours and some weekend work.
Travel
Travel to other campus locations and for training is required on occasion. Some overnight travel may be required for meetings and training.
Required Education and Experience
· An Associate’s degree in accounting or similar field of study from an accredited institution.
· Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting.
Preferred Education and Experience
· A Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
· State of GA accounting experience.
· Experience with TeamWorks.
