- Under general supervision, performs any combination of duties to maintain order, sanitation and cleanliness in facilities.
- Maintains supplies as needed. Cleans and straightens assigned areas.
- Collects, sorts, launders, transports and distributes linens and uniforms.
- Ensures laundry, housekeeping and floor equipment is in good working condition.
- Maintains and stocks equipment and supplies as needed.
- May mend linens and assist in preventative maintenance and repair.
- Observes required safety precautions in disposing of contaminated refuse.
- Operates hand tools and power cleaning equipment. Participates in making, marking, altering and mending of clothing, linens, and other items.
- Presses and store all linens
One (1) year of experience in related area of assignment; or one (1) year of experience at the lower level Housekeeper 1 (FES040) or position equivalent.
