JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs a wide range of office administration duties for assigned functions or program areas, duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information. May research, investigate, and/or resolve program data or issues. Drafts

documentation, reports, or presentations. Represents program or unit, provides information and assistance to internal and external customers.

POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES: Under general supervision, independently performs complex para-professional engineering or construction-related tasks requiring specialized knowledge in a program area. Tasks include independent creation of and managing daily administrative tasks. Serves as primary Customer Service representative for the Office of Construction Bidding Administration including answering all office calls and assisting in resolution of customer inquiries. Reviews GDOT Let Design-Bid-Build contracts for routing and execution by all parties in CATS, tracks execution status and issues Notice to Proceed. Also, aides Contractor Prequalification team members in answering customer calls and processing minor Subcontractor application requests.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Minimum Qualifications

STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma / GED and three (3) years of job-related experience; or one (1) year of experience required at the lower-level Admin Assistant 1 (GST050) or position equivalent.

AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:

· Experience in reviewing technical documents and/or reports associated with the area of assignment such as standard specifications, contracts, TeamWorks Financial Systems, any other transportation software or other specialized program knowledge.

· Proficient with computer applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).

· Effectively communicates with clients and customers verbally or in writing.

· Committed to providing quality customer service.

· Ability to perform repetitive tasks effectively over a long period of time (data entry, proof reading contract documents and reviewing pay documents).

· Maintains a positive view of self and displays a professional image.

AGENCY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

· Three or more years of experience in the area of assignment.

· Demonstrated experience in Contract Authorization Tracking System (CATS), DocuSign or other software utilized for contract execution.

Good Employment Standing:

In accordance with the Interview and Selection Process (ISP), an applicant must have no active disciplinary actions to be in good employment standing. Actions that may disqualify an applicant include letters of reprimand (active for 12 months after issuance date); suspension without pay or disciplinary demotion (active for 12 months from the effective date); Performance Improvement Plans (PIP) and Leave Restriction Plans (active until 12 months after the date of conclusion). In addition, an employee must have an overall ePerformance rating score of three (3) or higher on their most current evaluation. Please note that Memorandums of Concern are not considered disqualifying factors. Human Resources may remove any employee from consideration for selection who is pending a disciplinary action; however, if the action is resolved in the employee’s favor, he or she will be allowed to compete.
