Atlanta Technical College (ATC) is seeking highly qualified applicants for its Full-Time Administrative Assistant I - Nursing and Related Programs - in the Health and Public Safety Technology division. This position is located on Atlanta Technical College’s main campus, just South of Downtown Atlanta.
Under direct supervision of the Associate Dean of Nursing & Related Programs, the Administrative Assistant I (Nursing & Related Programs) provides secretarial and clerical support to the Nursing and Related Programs department and serves as a liaison between the program / administrative / technical operation and clients.
Duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to, the following:
· Provides secretarial and clerical support to the program.
· Serves as liaison between the program/administrative/technical operation and clients; determines the nature of client’s business and provides appropriate information and assistance. Refers to appropriate personnel when necessary.
· Proofreads and edits documents for content, context, accuracy and consistency.
· Copies, distributes and files appropriate letters, memoranda, reports and other materials.
· Prepares paperwork, sign-in sheets, copies and classroom materials for instructors.
· Maintains classroom supplies and distributes books.
· Utilizes a variety of software to produce documents, spreadsheets, visual aids and promotional materials.
· Manages the attendance reports and records.
· Manages databases and reports for instructional enhancements.
· Maintains filing and record-keeping systems.
· Conducts research using a variety of resources to generate reports, solve departmental issues, and find new technology solutions.
· Maintains office supply inventory; and
· Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Must possess and demonstrate a High School Diploma or equivalent AND Six (6) months of related work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preference may be given to candidates who, in addition to meeting the minimum requirements, possess and demonstrate One (1) or more years of directly related work experience.
