Summary
Under broad supervision, provides comprehensive medical healthcare services by examining patients, diagnosing conditions, and providing treatments in community health program. Provide medical/psychiatric coverage for MAT program.
Responsibilities
Demonstrate quality care and professional development, while completing concurrent documentation, and providing billable services at rate of 65% of paid time.
· Provide direct clinical care to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorders, and dual diagnosis, to include assessments and ongoing psychiatric treatment, medication management, and education to individuals regarding diagnosis and medications prescribed.
· Evaluate individuals for appropriate levels of care, to include involuntary commitment, as well as review of treatment plans and participation in clinical staffings.
· Monitor and document the individual’s condition, response to treatment, and progress in treatment, and rationale for medication. Orders and evaluates diagnostic and monitoring lab tests.
· Contribute to achievement of agency quality standards to assure authorization of services, coordination and communication with clinical staff, performance improvement activities as assigned, and participation in medical staff meetings as needed.
· Provide consultation and support to APRN Staff as needed and back up psychiatric consultation for crises (during scheduled working hours), either by phone or face-to-face.
· Provide medical/clinical services in specialty programs as assigned, including some clinical services provided in the community (i.e. non-office setting); training and preceptorships as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
· Medical degree recognized by the Georgia Composite Medical Board (GCMB) AND licensure or license-eligible to practice medicine at a state institution or in the state of Georgia as provided by state law AND Two years of experience.
Preferred Qualifications
· In addition to above qualifications, certification in addiction psychiatry or addiction medicine.
· Must be able to work a minimum of 20 hours a week.
