Winpak Films is seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious Slitter Operator to join our Production Department in Senoia, GA on a 12-hour rotating night shift. In this role, you will operate slitting machinery to produce rolls according to customer specifications, while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. You will play a key role in supporting Winpak’s commitment to operational excellence, innovation, and delivering high-quality packaging solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop orders and specification sheets to ensure product accuracy.
• Set up, operate, and monitor the slitting machine efficiently, minimizing scrap and downtime.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure all quality standards are met.
• Perform routine machine inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area at all times.
• Accurately complete production reports and required documentation.
• Ensure proper material handling and maintain adequate supply of raw materials for production.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in slitting or film production.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills, including data entry and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify product defects.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience operating slitting machinery or working with extrusion processes.
• Familiarity with safety protocols in a manufacturing environment.
• Training or certifications in production or manufacturing processes.

Working Environment & Physical Demands

• Exposure to noise, hot surfaces, and chemical hazards.
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs frequently, with occasional lifts over 100 lbs (with assistance).
• Frequent bending, stooping, stair climbing; 80% of shift spent standing or walking.
• Requires visual acuity for reading specifications and operating machinery.

Compensation Range

• $20.00/hour – final compensation determined based on skills and experience.
