Maintenance Technician

Winpak Films Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their Maintenance Department based out of Senoia, GA on a 12-hour rotating shift schedule. In this role, you will perform essential equipment maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure smooth and efficient manufacturing operations. Your work will directly impact production performance, safety compliance, and product quality across the facility. We’re looking for a highly skilled technician with hands-on experience in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems who is ready to contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform calibration, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of production equipment.
- Use precision tools (micrometers, calipers, dial gauges) to inspect and maintain mechanical systems.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical (24VDC–480VAC), and mechanical systems.
- Utilize hoists, slings, and rigging equipment safely during equipment repairs or installations.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks in Micromain or other CMMS systems.
- Collaborate with supervisors and shift leads to ensure minimal downtime and smooth operations.
- Promote a strong culture of safety and compliance across the maintenance team.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for equipment reliability and process optimization.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- Proficiency with electrical troubleshooting tools (multimeters, amp clamps, megohmmeters).
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and communicate maintenance solutions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification or diploma in Industrial Maintenance from an accredited technical institution.
- Experience with blown film extrusion or converting machinery.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and CMMS tools such as Micromain.
- Leadership experience in a maintenance or manufacturing environment.
Additional Details:
This position is for 12-hour rotating shifts, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM or 8:00 PM–8:00 AM, including weekends per WFI’s schedule.
This position is 100% onsite and may occasionally require flexibility for emergency maintenance outside of scheduled hours.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment (non-climate-controlled areas). Exposure to heat, machinery, and noise is expected.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs., perform frequent bending, climbing, and standing. Requires 80% standing/walking and 20% sitting.
