Winpak Films is seeking a Department Supervisor to join our Operations Team based out of Senoia, GA on a full-time schedule.

In this role, you will lead production operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality performance across extrusion and web lines. You will oversee shift supervisors and production staff, driving continuous improvement, employee development, and operational excellence. This leadership role is essential in maintaining Winpak’s standards for safety, quality, and productivity while supporting the company’s long-term growth and innovation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities / What You Will Do:

  • Provide leadership and direction to shift supervisors and production teams to achieve safety, quality, and production goals.
  • Maintain adherence to Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs) and ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Monitor production metrics, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on process optimization and waste reduction.
  • Ensure team training and skill development to maintain workforce competency and readiness.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to optimize equipment performance.
  • Support production scheduling, inventory control, and department-level strategic planning.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate degree required, bachelor’s degree in management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (plastics, packaging, injection molding, or consumer products).
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing multi-shift or 24/7 operations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and production software systems.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and implement corrective actions in a production environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with extrusion operations, converting processes, or packaging manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with LEAN manufacturing tools and root cause analysis.
  • Knowledge of Safe Quality Food (SQF) systems and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in continuous improvement initiatives.

Additional Details:

  • This position supports a 24/7 operation with rotating shifts.
  • Onsite position with 40% office and 60% production floor exposure.
  • Regularly required to lift up to 50 lbs., climb stairs, and navigate production areas.
  • Opportunities for advancement into senior operations or cross-functional leadership roles.
  • We are hiring for one Day shift & one Night shift.
