Winpak Films is seeking a Lead Operator (BSB) to join the Production Team based out of our Senoia, GA on C shift.

The BSB (Barrier Shrink Bag) Lead Operator operates extrusion, EB irradiation, and reinflation/orientation equipment to produce high-quality products that meet customer requirements. This role works safely and efficiently, performs routine minor maintenance on equipment, and maintains a clean and organized work area. The BSB Lead Operator is also responsible for completing all required MOVEX and SFDC transactions and labeling related to the department.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Quality

  1. Safely operate equipment to produce high-quality material while minimizing waste and maximizing efficiency.
  2. Complete quality checks according to sampling plans.
  3. Read and follow all order paperwork, including special instructions.
  4. Monitor the production process and make machine adjustments or perform changeovers (once trained).
  5. Package materials to meet internal and external customer expectations.

Safety & Operational Support

  1. Follow and promote safe work practices at all times.
  2. Report safety hazards and equipment issues immediately to the Plant Supervisor.
  3. Ensure scrap materials are properly segregated and labeled.
  4. Prepare materials and the work area for smooth shift transitions.
  5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

Documentation & Reporting

  1. Accurately complete all production paperwork and ensure data is properly entered into SFDC and MOVEX (production, waste, time, downtime, and receipts).
  2. Provide feedback to the Plant Supervisor on performance or operational issues and support continuous improvement efforts.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience operating extrusion equipment in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of experience working with production systems such as SFDC and MOVEX (or similar ERP/MES systems).
  • Experience applying workplace safety standards in a high-risk industrial environment.
  • Experience following quality management systems and maintaining strict quality standards.
  • Experience performing detailed production documentation and data entry with strong accuracy.
  • Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams to support production goals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience maintaining compliance with established policies, procedures, and standard operating guidelines.
  • Experience demonstrating strong attention to detail in safety-sensitive environments.
  • Experience using basic computer systems and applying fundamental mathematical skills in a production setting.
  • Experience communicating effectively in both written and verbal formats within a team-based environment.
  • Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and participating in ongoing skills development.

Additional Details:

  • This position is 100% onsite and this is for C shift which is 12 hours, (8:00 PM – 8:00 AM)
