MAU is hiring a Virtual Technical Writer. As a Virtual Technical Writer, you will create clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation to support consulting services and onsite operations.

Shift Information
  • Monday to Friday | 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM | Fully Remote
Required Education and Experience
  • Experience creating training documents, training records, or in Communications, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of technical writing experience, preferably remote
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and other web technologies
  • Familiarity with version control systems
  • Experience with AI software solutions
General Requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat, and content management systems
  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Familiarity with software development processes and terminology
Essential Functions
  • Write, edit, create, and format technical documents supporting training documentation, including SOPs and other training materials
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Regularly review and update existing documentation
  • Ensure all documentation meets company standards for clarity, consistency, and usability
  • Manage multiple documentation projects while adhering to deadlines and prioritizing tasks effectively

  • Professional office environment
  • Routine use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 5-15 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to sit for up to 8 hours
  • Ability to climb stairs occasionally
Travel
  • Up to 10% travel with minimal overnight requirements
